①Sintered molybdenum rods: silver-gray metallic luster on the surface.
②Wrought molybdenum rod: the surface has a layer of oxide and the surface is black.
③Turned molybdenum bar: metallic luster on the surface, flat and rough.
④Brushed molybdenum rod: silver gray metallic luster, smooth surface, small dimensional error
3. Surface oxide removal method:
1,Molybdenum products have the characteristic of easy oxidation. If you need to remove heavy oxides, use strong acids (fluoric acid, nitric acid, hydrochloric acid, etc.) to treat them.
2,For light oxides, use a cleaning agent with abrasives, wipe with a soft cloth or sponge, etc., and then wash with warm water.
3,Washed molybdenum products will lose their metallic luster, please pay attention.
Molybdenum rods need to be packed separately with PE pearl cotton material in a suitable wooden box, which must be filled with extra voids to prevent vibration in transit and damage to the product.
4. Applications:
Molybdenum rod is a high melting point industrial material with good thermal conductivity and low thermal expansion properties, widely used in high temperature furnaces, vacuum electronic equipment, aerospace, and other fields. It can be used as high-temperature heat generator and high-temperature structural parts, etc. It is produced by molding, sintering, overhanging forging and machining, and the surface shows a silver-grey metallic luster. There are three available, the first is pure molybdenum bar, generally with a molybdenum content of more than 99.95%; the second is high-temperature molybdenum bar, also known as (molybdenum-lanthanum alloy bar): containing lanthanum 0.4-1.2%; the third is TZM molybdenum bar, with a titanium (Ti) content of 0.4-0.6, a Zr content of 0.07-0.12, and a C content of 0.01-0.05.
We pack molybdenum rods very professionally, each molybdenum rod is individually wrapped in RE pearl cotton and placed in a professional wooden crate for export, which is well-filled with soft cushions around the crate, so as to avoid the product shaking in the crate and producing friction and collision.
